“With great reluctance, Applegrove must postpone Pasta Fest. We were unable to hold it in the previously booked location, and unable to find another appropriate location. Applegrove opens Edgewood drop-in
Oct. 26: Grand Opening of Edgewood Family Resource Drop-In
at Corpus Christi Church Hall, 1810 Queen St. E., 10 a.m. A drop-in program for newborns to age 6 and their caregivers. Open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Crafts, toys, puzzles and circle time. All welcome. (from Beach Metro Community Calendar)

New home for resource and drop-in centre
The Edgewood Connection, a free family resource and drop-in centre for children newborn to six and their parents/caregivers, has a new home at Corpus Christi Church, near Lockwood Road and Queen Street East.

Community members and supporters are invited to celebrate the grand opening of the new space Wednesday, Oct. 26.

Run by Applegrove Community Complex, the centre is a place that offers crafts, stories, toys, books, puzzles, gym days, circle time, making new friends, advisory meetings and coffee and tea. Full story

Homecoming Weekend October 20, 2012 … a weekend of very special events and displays.

Farmers’ market runs until October 30

Yesterday the local market (Jonathan Ashbridge Park) was cold and wet, but still a great place to buy a variety of Ontario vegetables, fruit, herbs, baked goods, seafood, coffee, etc. etc.

The market runs three more weeks, ending on Sunday October 30.  From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Jonathan Ashbridge Park, at Eastern and Woodward.  Just south of Queen Street East, three blocks west of Coxwell.
