November 30 is 100th anniversary of Duke of Connaught ground-breaking

On Wednesday November 30, it will be 100 years since the Duke of Connaught “broke the ground” to build Duke of Connaught School.  That’s Duke in the background of the photo in our banner at the top of this page — the school is directly behind the Ashbridge house.

100th Anniversary Kick-off Event  … to commemorate the ground-breaking ceremony in 1911.
Highlights will include :
• soil turning
• time capsule burial
• presentation and student performances
• VIP reception
