Sat. June 16 – Beaches Heritage bike ride starts at Ashbridge Estate – 1 p.m. – guided by Gene Domagala

Queen East street party – “Loving it Local”
Councillor Mary-Margaret McMahon is throwing a ‘Loving It Local’ street party  and sidewalk sale on Queen East from Coxwell Ave to Kent Rd.

The Beaches Lodge #473. Vote with your money on the best sandcastle. Proceeds to Toronto East General Hospital.

Public meeting about Emerald Ash Borer and what it means to our area

The City of Toronto and the Toronto Public Library invite members of the public to attend an information session on the Emerald Ash Borer infestation. Learn why it is of particular concern to our Ashdale Neighbourhood and what you can do about it.

Gerrard Street India Bazaar (Gerrard St. E. between Greenwood and Coxwell Ave.)
A 2 day long celebration of South Asian Culture & Cuisine. Come out to the Little India Bazaar and savour the food, music and dance. From Bhangra to Basmati to Bollywood music, this event has all the ingredients to make festival visitors feel like they’ve traveled the world.

The 18th annual Heatwave Toronto 2012 Beach Volleyball Challenge for SickKids. Recreational Co-ed 6’s and Competitive Co-ed 6’s Divisions. One and two day tournaments available.

Afrofest is a free weekend-long celebration of African culture and diversity.

Fri. July 20 to Sun. July 22
Beaches International Jazz Festival first weekend
– Woodbine Park, Coxwell and Eastern – free
The 23rd annual festival kickoff on Friday evening July 20 to Sunday July 22 afternoon at Woodbine Park. Followed by the Streetfest, three nights of jazz in all its variations from Thur. July 26 to Saturday July 28 between 7pm – 11pm. Upwards of 50 Canadian bands will be perform along Queen Street East from Woodbine Ave. to Beech Ave. There are performances on stage at Kew Gardens, Saturday July 28 and Sunday July 29 from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm.
