Duke of Connaught’s Mardi Gras event is coming up and we’d like to make sure everyone is aware of this new fundraiser/social event taking place on:
Saturday March 23rd, from 8pm to 11pm, at the Royal Canadian Legion
243 Coxwell Ave (at Coxwell and Gerrard).
This is a new initiative through the School Advisory Council. Following the lead of other TDSB schools, the SAC at Duke decided it was time to hold an event for the parents, caregivers and friends of Duke.
We have set the theme of the evening to Mardi Gras, as this is a celebration of this time of year. But don’t worry – it’s a very casual Mardi Gras affair – the focus is not to dress up or toss beads. The idea is to get together, share some food and drink and raise funds for our school through the exciting array of silent auction items. Plus there will be a wheel spin for more prizes and every player wins!
Tickets are only $15 in advance.

All funds go to Duke’s fundraising goals (such as technology in classrooms, field trip contingency funds).
This event also coincides with Earth Hour so we will be spending the hour from 8:30pm to 9:30pm in candlelight.
