Here’s an easy way to get out and enjoy the snow:

The Toronto Field Naturalists host a walk about the birds and trees of Ashbridge’s Bay. Meet at the southwest corner of Lakeshore and Coxwell at 1:30 p.m.

Walk on Leslie Spit
Hosted by the Toronto Bruce Trail Club, this is a 12-kilometre walk. Meet at the front gate to Leslie Spit (foot of Leslie Street) at 1 p.m.

Meals on Wheels – at Coxwell and Gerrard

From the Toronto Star Dec. 21:

Every Thursday for the past quarter-century, a dozen people around Coxwell Ave. and Gerrard St. E. have been handed lunch by the Stapleton family.

That adds up to more than 15,000 meals.

Our local rec. centre S.H. Armstrong invites you to a community Pancake Breakfast on Saturday Dec. 15th from 10 a.m to 1 p.m.in the lower level classroom.

The price is $2 for children under 12 and $3 for adults. Please register at the front office or call the community centre for more information at 416.392.0734.
