Wanted: creative ideas for Memory Lane, Leslie-Coxwell design guidelines meeting Feb. 24, 2015

Memory Lane, the small street beside Maple Cottage and the Maple Leaf Forever tree, is on the short list for the Toronto Laneway Project. This group is undertaking two laneway transformations in 2015. The selected projects will act as models for other laneway improvement projects across the city.

What would you like to see on Memory Lane? Send your ideas to notylbd@gmail.com. Your input will be helpful for a meeting next week, so send your ideas this week. Memory Lane runs east-west one block south of Queen, between Leslie on the west and ending on the east at the Connaught streetcar yard.

If Memory Lane is selected as one of the pilot projects, it could result in it turning into a more user friendly pedestrian/bike area.

Also don’t forget there’s an important meeting next Tuesday evening February 24 at the S.H. Armstrong Centre about the guidelines for Queen Street East from Leslie to Coxwell. The open house is from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and the meeting is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
